We look forward to capping off a long day by relaxing and being entertained by watching some TV. We don’t have a lot of time to watch TV, so when we do, we want to enjoy our favorite shows. So every feature that makes this downtime more enjoyable is super important to us. This is why we love when we get to turn on our XFINITY X1 and let the X1 system do all the heavy lifting!

XFINITY X1 is a cloud based viewing platform that lets you customize just about everything and it makes your TV experience so much more enjoyable. We love the apps, social media features in addition to the traditional video services. We take advantage of all of them. Tons of access to adventure, drama, kid’s shows and more.
One of the absolute best features of the X1 is its DVR. First off, with over 500gb of storage, it is able to store all of our shows that we would ever want to watch. I use it to record sports games. This lets me get through a 3 hour football game in about 1 hour. I fast forward through commercials, but also between plays. It makes watching sports quicker and easier to cram into a busy schedule.
Also, the DVR is able to record not 1, not 2, but 5 shows at the same time, while watching a 6th show on live TV. That is an amazing amount, and I challenge any family to find more than 6 shows on at the same time that they want to record!
If by some crazy coincidence there are 7 things on that you want to record . . . at the same time then the X1 On Demand service is very handy. With many of the current shows available to watch, even if you forget to DVR them.
X1 also has you covered when it comes to location, you can watch your shows ANYWHERE! Of course you can record in your living room and watch it in your bedroom, or anywhere you have another box in the house. However, where X1 is truly amazing is that if allows you to download shows from your cloud based library and watch them later on your mobile device . . . even without an internet connection.
This feature came in very handy on a recent road trip. We downloaded a couple of movies and the kids were set for a road trip, watching a couple of shows on the iPad. It was so easy!
Another awesome feature of the X1 is one that we use all the time. Netflix is built right into the X1 platform. So now there is no need to juggle remotes or change inputs to watch some of your favorite shows.
The last of the cool toys on the X1 that I am going to talk about is my favorite. We have had XFINITY X1 for nearly 3 years. In the entire time, I can honestly say that I don’t know the channel number for any station. I simply talk to my X1 Voice Remote and it listens better than my kids!
I can say ESPN and it takes me there. If I say NFL Football, it shows me the games that are on. If I say Adam Sandler, it shows me all the movies he is in that are available both in X1 and on Netflix.
The X1 has totally changed and improved our viewing experience. We love it and it makes relaxing and enjoying TV so easy and . . . well, relaxing.
I have enjoyed the tech savviness of the XFINITY brand, and will continue to enjoy, and I can’t wait to see what they come up with next.
