I have partnered with the J.M. Smucker Company to create tips for a less stressful holiday season. They sent products and coupons and compensation was received. The honest opinions are my own.
The holidays are upon us! This time of year we all start to get busier, our schedules fill up, our to do lists get longer, and somehow we have to squeeze in time to shop, wrap, bake, and attend holiday events all the while trying to get our regular daily tasks done. Even though we can feel swamped, the holidays hold a lot of meaning and memories. That’s why I like to unclutter the holiday season with Uncrustables.
Uncrustables are premade sandwiches that you store in your freezer.
There are a number of varieties including:
- Peanut Butter & Grape Jelly
- Peanut Butter & Strawberry Jam
- Peanut Butter & Honey Spread On Whole Wheat
- Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
- Peanut Butter & Raspberry Spread On Whole Wheat
- Peanut Butter & Grape Spread On Whole Wheat
- Reduced Sugar Peanut Butter & Grape Spread On Whole Wheat
We have been buying Uncrustables for years and Kora & Logan are always so excited to see a box or two in our freezer.
As a busy mom I like how quick, convenient, delicious Uncrustables are. During the holiday season if the kids are clamoring for a snack when I’m buried under gift wrap, I can send them to the freezer to get one. I make sure to have them grab one for me as well!
This time of year we all still have to keep up with our regular activities on top of shopping, wrapping, baking, attending holiday parties and more. That’s why I like that Uncrustables help us save time with daily tasks as well like packing the kids lunches. Kora & Logan are always so happy to hear they can pack Uncrustables for lunch and they make it so easy! In the morning, the kids simply grab an Uncrustables sandwich from the freezer, pack it into their lunchboxes, and by lunch it’s thawed and ready to eat.
They also make delicious after school snacks too. Kora & Logan come through the front door every weekday after school saying they are hungry.
I can tell them to go to the freezer and grab an Uncrustable sandwich, do their homework, and after they finish it will be ready to eat. I like that Uncrustables are more filling than their typical small snacks, so I’m not hearing, “I’m hungry!” again five minutes later.
While the kids spend time in the kitchen getting snacks and making lunches, during the holiday season I’m in there baking away. You’ll often find me covered in flour and my counters full of cookbooks, ingredients, bowls, cookie sheets, and pie plates.
I enjoy baking for the holidays and have fun sneaking a few “trial” bites every now and then, but I also try to be mindful among all those sweets and treats. That’s why when I get hungry and find myself surrounded by cookies, cakes, and pies, I like to grab an Uncrustables sandwich which I find tasty and more filling instead.
And if I get too busy to eat it right away, it’s still good for 6-8 hours after they are thawed.
Another holiday season task that seems to take up more and more time every year is signing, addressing, and sending holiday cards. While it is time consuming, it’s a big part of the holidays for me and one of my favorite traditions. I like to set aside a good block of time to get it done, put on some holiday music, pour myself a cup of coffee and start writing. I’ve discovered that the Chocolate Hazelnut Uncrustable pairs wonderfully with the coffee and is a festive enjoyable snack while I sign and address our holiday cards.
This rest of our year is sure to be as busy as any other, however I’m going to make sure we unclutter our holiday season with Uncrustables. Kora & Logan are growing up so fast that every minute I can save to spend with them is precious especially during the holidays. I am looking forward to spending many fun, memorable, and delicious moments together as the snow starts to fall and the holiday music begins to play.

These are perfect when the grandkids come to visit.
Unscrustables are great to have around for the kids. I like the one with honey. The kids really liked the grilled cheese ones but I don’t think they make them anymore.
Oh geez! I love these things so much! I didn’t realize they made one with hazelnut spread! I’ll be on the look out next time I go shopping :)
I can admit that Uncrustables aren’t as good as an old fashioned, home made PB&J, but they sure are handy. My son likes to eat them frozen so I don’t even have to thaw them out! They make a great “oh crap we woke up too late to make a proper breakfast so here have this on the way to school” breakfast.
i didn’t know there were so many varieties, my pb & j loving daughters would be so happy to try them
