This time of year I always spend hours trying to find ways to keep Kora & Logan busy over summer. They enjoy being active and learning as well. In the past they have done sports leagues, art classes, and even summer school.scholarship!
This post is sponsored by Brain Chase & The Motherhood and a registration was received.
I like to sign them up for a variety of activities with some that get them up off the couch and moving and others that are learning based. That’s why I’m excited that Brain Chase aims to keep kids learning over summer as well as gives them a chance for them to win a $10,000 college
Brain Chase is a summer learning adventure that challenges kids to do reading, writing, and math to unlock animated episodes that have clues to a real life buried treasure – a $10,000 college scholarship!
This year the search is for the Sunstone of Cortés. Watch this trailer. It gives a peek into the animated episodes and explains how the program works:
The trophy is about 12 inches in diameter and has mechanically rotating components that open to reveal the center compartment, where the key to reveal the $10,000 scholarship will be hidden.
Here’s a look at how it was made:
Kids get to drop a pin on a virtual map every 24 hours with their guess to the location of the treasure and throughout the program they are mailed 3 mystery packages to help solve bonus challenges.
The first student who uses the animated clues to identify the treasures location within a 2 mile radius, gets to dig it up!
I was excited to learn that Brain Chase recently announced a new partnership with Rosetta Stone. All Brain Chase registrants will now have the opportunity to participate in a language model as part of their online academic work. If they choose Rosetta Stone it will replace the writing module. Students will be required to complete 2 lessons (a total of a little over an hour) each week in order to fulfill their language requirement and unlock the next animated episode.
They will be able to choose from 30+ languages.
There is also a teacher referral program where Brain Chase is offering $15 to teachers for each of their students they refer to Brain Chase. Registrants can simply enter their teacher’s name and school name when they register.
Brain Chase sounds fantastic and I’m excited that Kora & Logan will get a chance to participate this summer. They love learning adventures and this is sure to be a big one. It will be fun to see them excited to learn and to watch them try to figure out the clues.
