The temperatures are starting to drop here in Ohio and that just means we find creative ways to have fun outside. Jumping in leaves, going on bike rides, and even running road races.
Jacket & headband received.
That’s why I’m excited about the Hot Chocolate 15/5k and to share info with you about this run with a memorable post race party. The Hot Chocolate 15/5K returns to Columbus, Ohio for the third time on November 16, 2014.
The race starts on West Spring Street and ends at West Nationwide Boulevard. The race will highlight downtown Columbus and is USATF sanctioned. Racers will be able to share live race progress with family and friends through social media. After the events following the race runners will be able to download free photos and videos of their finish.
Runners will receive a 2014 goodie bag which will include a fleece lined half zip hoodie and drawstring bag. All 15k finishers will also receive a Finisher’s Medal shaped to resemble a chocolate bar with a gold plated wrapper featuring a buckeye nut and Ohio flag.
The post race party for the 15/5K makes this “America’s Sweetest Race.” The chocolate flows with finisher’s mugs filled with hot chocolate, chocolate fondue, and other tasty treats. There will also be music and a family friendly kid zone with bounce houses and games.
I was excited to learn that the race also features the “Go The Extra Mile” where runners can set up a fundraising page to raise money for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Ohio or any other charity of their choosing.
This is a fantastic and fun race as well as a great way to celebrate fall, to enjoy lots of chocolate, and to raise money for a wonderful charity. To learn more visit the Hot Chocolate 15/5K site.
This would be fun to participate in. Lots of goodies and rewards!
