We live only 45 minutes away from Cedar Point and we are excited the amusement park just opened for the season. We visit often in throughout the spring, summer, and fall and love capturing the skyscraping rides when they stand out against a bright blue sky. The rides are always so captivating and eye-catching that I put together a collection of my favorite photos from past visits.
Top Thrill Dragster
420 feet high at 120 mph
(see how tiny the coaster looks way up at the top?!)
GateKeeper
The tallest, fastest, winged roller coaster in the world.
Power Tower
Rocket 240 feet up or ride up and drop down
Wicked Twister
Forward then backward into two 450 degree twists
Windseeker
2 person swings – 301 feet high
Raptor
Dangle your feet in 6 head over heels inversions
Giant Wheel
2 minute ride – 136 feet high
What about you? Would you ride any of these? What’s your favorite thing about amusement parks?
I Love Cedar Point! So Much Fun! Great Photos!
Never been to Cedar Point, what some fascinating rides.
i haven’t been to cedar point in years.looks like a great time.would love to visit again someday.
I think the giant wheel looks like more my speed! Too chicken for those crazy coasters!
i keep meaning to try and make it to Cedar Point, but it continues to not happen for some reason or another.
Woah! That looks like a blast! Great photos!
Wow! What a super fun weekend this would be.
I love the pictures, we also enjoy going to Cedar Point as often as possible.
These all look so much fun to ride! I think my family would love the Raptor!
I love the Roller Coasters at Amusement parks. Our Water Park and amusement rides opened and it is so much fun to go on the rides every year. I can not wait to go and have fun on the Terror Roller coaster.
Maybe I’ve just gotten older and more fearful, but those look scary as heckola! I don’t think I could get the courage up to ride them, but all the more power to those that can. Our Carowinds hasn’t opened yet but it only has a few coasters much smaller than these! Y’all have fun!
Holy Moly! I don’t know if I would do all those rides. Some of them look like a bit much for me. But I am sure my kids would ride several of them more then once.
Looks so much fun!
I am so afraid of heights but my husband and son would love to visit Cedar Point!
My first roller coaster ride was at cedar point It was the mantis. I also loved the magnum. Our family loved the rides here. Always enjoyed the fireworks too!
Oh my goodness this place looks like a ton of fun.
Would love to go there someday! We love coasters
This place has some very high and scary rides. In my younger days, I would ride those rides, but not now. It looks like fun though.
I used to love rides when I was a lot younger. Now they scare me to death. Oh well, now it’s my grandchildren’s turn to have fun on them. The closet amusement park here is Kansas City, MO we live near Omaha, NE.
Wow! I’d love to check out some of those wild rides. Looks fun!
The dragster looks like so much fun! There is no way I could do the tower of terror!! I hate the feeling of falling straight down!!!
awesome….only 45 minutes away from a theme park..is really cool. A getaway for the kids in a flash.
The Top Thrill Dragster is my most favorite coaster ever. My husband loves The Raptor, though Shivering Timbers (at Michigan’s Adventure) runs a close second for him.
Wow some of those rides look scary. I’m a chicken and you wouldn’t catch me on them but my older kids would love them.
Those are excellent photos of the rides, thanks! I am terrified to go on half of them still though, LOL!
Do you know, I was so surprised to find out how much I LOVED the Power Tower! I get to ride rides three times in a row before I have to get off and get back in line (lucky!), and I rode that like nine times the last time I was there! :)
Let me start with the Wicked Twister seems to be appropriately named!!! All my life I have been fascinated with thrill rides at amusement parks. Nothing beats the rush and feeling of exhilaration as going down a ride that appears to be death-defying. I am jealous you are so close to a park.
We use to go to cedar point so much when I was younger as a kid. Once I got older my first roller coaster was the mantis, and then I loved the magnum roller coaster, it was my favorite. We loved the water park too! Lots of fun everytime!
These are some great shots at the amusement park. Sure makes me wish I was there!
These rides are amazing! I would love to visit Cedar Point someday. I wouldn’t ride these, however, I am sure our oldest grandson would LOVE them!
Wow! These are some crazy rides!
Wow the Wicked Twister looks crazy!! My family would love to go here!
Oh my, I don’t know if I would be brave enough to ride these, but it looks fun!
that is awesome!!! i’d love to visit cedar point!!!
Those are some pretty crazy coasters. Looks like fun!
Those look scary and exciting simultaneously! Looks like a fun place to go!
I can’t wait to go there again!
I’ve never seen that Windseeker one!
I must be getting old because that first Roller Coaster looks so scary!
Wow! Soo scary!!
Holy KAW! That’s a WICKED ‘coaster!
I am also from Southern California. I have never been to any other theme park except for the ones that we have here. I love seeing the pictures of the different rides from other parks in our great country.
Being a roller coaster aficionado in Southern California who has never been to Cedar Point…. thanks for the pics! I shall live vicariously through you, while remaining just a little bit jealous. :)
This makes me want to go now! How fun.
It looks like so much fun!! I can’t wait until the kiddos are old enough for us to go to amusement parks – they are my FAV place to go!
