Shopping for a new computer can be exciting but also overwhelming at the same time. There are a lot of things to consider and many technical features to familiarize yourself with. All anyone wants is a computer that makes things you already do feel easier, faster, and better.
Luckily there is an easy and fun way to find what you are looking for – it’s the one with Intel inside
With the power of an Intel based device you’ll enjoy options that are lighter, more stylish, have sharper screens, and work at amazingly fast speeds.
That’s why I’m excited about THE IN-CROWD on HSN.com.
Think of it as your connection to those products and a relatable resource for all things Intel. Here you can browse exclusive videos and learn more about different Intel based devices.
One of my favorite things about THE IN-CROWD are the fun videos that make it easier to understand what can be tricky technical terms. Some of the videos include:
- 2-in-1 Laptops: One Device Twice The Possibilities
- Battery Life: Go Further On A Single Charge
- Processor Overview: How Does Your Intel Processor Work
Even though I’m a tech blogger, I must confess that I’ve always been baffled about HDD vs SDD storage. What do the terms stand for and which do I want for my PC?
This new featured video from THE IN-CROWD does a great job explaining what HDD and SDD storage is as well as the difference between the two.
I like in the video how they explain that HDD stands for Hard Disk Drive and SSD stands for Solid State Drive. In the video they use a great comparison to make it easier to understand. Handbags. They say SSD is like a smaller, more expensive handbag with a sleek design that gives you access to essentials. While HDD is more like a bigger, every day handbag that can store all of your stuff but you have to spend more time finding what you need.
The video also features a side by side comparison of how much faster the SSD performs over the HDD particularly when booting up your computer. I was also interested to learn that this also applies to a variety of applications and web browsing.
So if you need a lot of storage, a laptop with HDD is the way to go but if you need less storage and more speed, a laptop with SSD will be a good fit.
These videos are fun and informative and you can come back each month to check out a new one. The next upcoming video will be Gaming: Level Up With Experiences Powered By Intel.
There is also a helpful quiz on the site that makes it easy to discover your dream device. Simply check a few boxes about what you will be using the PC for and the results will show you which PCs will be a fit for your needs.
I took the quiz and was excited to see it recommended a number of great PCs including the:
- HP Stream 14″ HD Intel 4GB RAM, 32GB eMMC Windows 10 Laptop
- Apple MacBook Air® 13.3″ Intel Core i5 Dual-Core, 8GB RAM, 128GB Flash Storage Laptop
They both look like a great laptops and I can’t wait to add them to my holiday wish list!
You can also check out a processor comparison chart to see which Intel processor best fits your lifestyle.
I’ve learned a lot from this site and I’m excited to finally learn the differences between SSD and HDD storage. Now that I know how helpful the site is, the next time I’m in the market for an Intel based device I’ll be checking out the site to watch videos, take the quiz, and use the processor comparison chart. It’s a huge time saver not having to spend hours or days digging through the internet looking for descriptions of devices and technical terms.
It’s all right there on THE IN-CROWD. Saving you both time and money while helping you discover your dream device with the right storage.
I will check this out. I get confused on all the computer tech.
The power looks really grand. I would love to buy one of the Intel devices.
Yep, it can really become confusing with all the computer tech stuff. I had not heard of in crowd til now. Will be checking them out!
I will have to check out these videos, especially the Battery Life: Go Further On A Single Charge video.
