It’s that time of year. The kids are back in school. The leaves are starting to change on the trees. Pretty soon the temperature will be dropping and we’ll be snuggling up in sweatshirts and pulling out our cute fall boots. It’s tailgating season! I love making delicious recipes to enjoy while watching Sunday football and that’s why I was excited to try the new bold flavors from VELVEETA.
I was excited to see that Liquid Gold went BOLD – VELVEETA Shells & Cheese is introducing two new flavors in Jalapeño, and Chipotle!
When I tried the VELVEETA Shells & Cheese Bold flavors, I thought they were fantastic and wonderful on their own, but I always enjoy personalizing recipes too especially when it comes too – tailgating.
After talking with Dave about it how to personalize the dish, we kept circling back to all the BLT’s we’ve enjoyed this past summer. I decided to do a tailgating variation of a BLT and toppped the VELVEETA Shells & Cheese Bold Chipotle with a dollop of sour cream and then chopped tomatoes, avocados, and bacon.
It turned out fantastically and so flavorful! It has a nice southwestern flair and it was very easy to put together. It’s perfect for tailgating and I can’t wait to make it over and over this football season!
This recipe is also delicious with the VELVEETA Shells & Cheese Bold Jalapeño flavor so be sure to try it with this variety as well.
Adding the sour cream and chopped ingredients on top of the Shells & Cheese is colorful and a nice touch, but you can also mix them in the dish as well.
