We were excited to test drive for a week, the Mistubishi Outlander for a week and the thought occurred to us that every couple of years different car models will undergo some improvements, maybe a slight redesign, updated headlights and more. However, for 2016, Mitsubishi really stepped their game up with the new Outlander. Over 100 updates, changes and improvements really make this car something to look at.
We recently had a chance to test drive the new 2016 Mistusbish Outlander SEL S-AWC, and we even had a chance to put it to use as one of Santa’s Helpers – more on that later.
What I like the most about the Mitsubishi Outlander is that it is a good size CUV, not too big and not too small, but that it has an option to use a 3rd row and fit 7 passengers. This is a HUGE benefit of the Outlander.
That 3rd row is extremely convenient when you have kids. It just pops right up and boom, you have room for 7 passengers. Now the 3rd row in the Highlander makes total use of the space in the car, there really isn’t much room left for storage with the 3rd row up, but having it as an option makes this CUV great.
The Outlander is a sensible car, it is equally comfortable driving thru the city as it is driving on rugged terrain. This combination, along with its price point make it a perfect car for a family, for the young adult, and even perfect for grandparents who may need to shuffle grandkids around on occasion – that 3rd row sure can come in handy!
All of the improvements made to the Mitsubishi Outlander this year are awesome, and with all of these updates, the base price of the Outlander even came down a little bit. As you are looking for your next car, make sure you test drive the Outlander and check out all of the improvements.
Earlier I mentioned that the Outlander was able to fill in as one of Santa’s Helpers, well it did, and quite admirably as well! We helped out with our local Toys 4 Tots, and part of it involved picking up toys from stores, offices and Fire Stations, check out the haul that the Mitsubishi Outlander was able to help out bring to the center!
Don’t forget that Christmas time is a special time of year, no matter how lean and budgeted your Christmas is, there are others who have it tougher, and Toys 4 Tots helps make sure every kid has some presents under their tree on Christmas morning. Look into locations where you can donate or volunteer and maybe you can even bring your new Outlander to help!
