Back in January, I wrote a tutorial about the new Wikets app and relayed how much I loved it. It’s a fantastic app for finding recommendations for everything including books, apps, grocery items, household products, clothing, area attractions, and more. What’s fun about Wikets is you get points every time you make a recommendation and if someone re-recommends it you get more points, and if someone buys it? Even more points!
Those points add up and you can redeem them for Amazon gift cards. I’m really excited because Wikets just reduced the required point total to receive your gift card. It’s now down to only 1500 points!
Since we are headed to Disney World in April, I’ve been playing on Wikets and using it as a travel app. I hit “Explore” and typed in Disney World. I was impressed with the recommendations I found:
I love that it shows various attractions, restaurants, and even apps and a book for kids. It’s been fun scrolling through the recommendations and finding places I didn’t know about that I’ve added to our list.
I also typed in Orlando to see what would come up in the surrounding area.
Even more recommendations. I didn’t know about the Titanic exhibit and Gatorland sounds fun!
I went one more step and typed in Kissimmee.
All the dinner shows sound so fun and Zaxby’s looks like it might have great food. Definitely worth looking into all of these further.
Not only is the Explore option a fun way to discover new attractions in an area you’re visiting, but you can also let Wikets use your phone’s GPS and then browse through local: hotels, dining options, attractions, shopping, and more.
Since I’m currently in Cleveland here are some of the area finds Wikets located for me.
I know some of these hotels are in West Virginia. I think we Clevelanders need to start recommending more great hotels!
Next, I looked up dining and attractions.
I was thrilled to see all 5 of these restaurants recommended. They are top spots in Cleveland and always get rave reviews. It’s good to know that anyone visiting Cleveland and seeing this would find any of these dining options impressive.
The screenshot shows just some of the attractions that Wikets pulled up for me. These are popular attractions and the list goes on and on. Tourists to Cleveland would enjoy any of these recommendations.
Wikets is a fantastic app and I recommend it to anyone looking for great travel recommendations. To sign up, simply download Wikets from the App Store – it’s free!
And after you have downloaded the app it will ask you for a promo code, enter 2wired2tired and you will receive 200 additional points to start you on your way to your first Amazon gift card!

It’s amazing all the technology available for phones these days. I would say my phone that I am currently using is a dinosaur. Even though I can text with it, I don’t. Great post, very informative!
