Kora and Logan had Chinese food for the first time last night. We recently received a coupon to try any variety of Wanchai Ferry’s frozen entrees. I though Sweet & Sour Chicken sounded delicious. Other available options included: Shrimp Lo Mein, Spicy Garlic Chicken, and Orange Chicken.

As I was following the five steps to prepare the meal, the kids were running in and out of the kitchen asking what was for dinner. I told them we were having chicken in a sweet & sour sauce, snap peas, red peppers, and pineapple all mixed up with rice.

Logan promptly informed me: “My teeth are going to get all pineappley.” I don’t know what that meant exactly, but it made him laugh as he ran out of the room.

Dinner was ready in less than 15 minutes. Each frozen entree serves two and after dishing it up between the three of us, it was the perfect amount. Had it been Tired Dad Dave and I eating, we may have wanted to try some of the suggested side dishes on the Wanchai Ferry site.

Kora said she enjoyed the meal, but it wasn’t her favorite thing she’s ever eaten. Logan is our resident picky eater and he liked the pineapple pieces best. I enjoyed the dish. It was something different around here and provided a nice change.
