This is a sponsored post. The honest opinions are my own.
As you may know, Dave and I have made New Year’s resolutions to be healthier in 2013. Not only does this involve exercising and being more active, it also includes making healthier meal choices. I have been very interested lately in truly understanding what the terminology on food packaging means so I can make the best choices for my family.
That’s why I’m excited about the U.S. Farmers & Ranchers Alliance #FoodD Twitter Party on Wednesday, March 27th at 1 pm EST.
The party will be a fun and full of great prizes and it will be an informative event too. The party will be a great opportunity to learn about key food terms that will help us make good food choices whether navigating the aisles of the grocery store or enjoying an evening dining out.
While I do my best to be up on the latest food terminology and definitions, there are so many out there and so similar in name or description that it’s easy to get overwhelmed. This @USFRA #FoodD Twitter Party will be a chance to learn about commonly used and little understood food terms and phrases like:
- What’s the difference between organic and non-organic
- What does “local” really mean?
- What does it mean when our food contains the labels: hormone-free, naturally raised, and sustainable.
The party will be a full hour of information, great discussion, and fun. Here are the details:
