The kids go crazy when a new package comes in the mail and it is something for them to try. Recently a new kind of bracelet called TriBandz arrived! The kids ripped the package open to find two bracelets. My son Grant, age 7, claimed the black while my daughter Avery, age 5, claimed the pink! My other son Carter (who is 20 months) could have cared less. But a friend who was over visiting got jealous! Who wouldn’t want a new accessory- especially after seeing TriBandz!!
I think the Silly Band craze is over and this mom couldn’t be more glad. Those annoying things were all over the place! I predict TriBandz will take over soon after seeing the kids reaction to the bracelets!
If I had to describe TriBandz I would tell you that they are a silicone bracelet with 3 rounded “bubbles” and each “bubble” holds a charm called Tibbz. The Tibbz are flat like a poker chip- somewhat reminiscent of a Pog. They can be changed out and come in many different decoration categories including sports, fashion, animals, holidays, symbols, and even cars. The bracelets that came to us had charms in them and the kids immediately started talking about trading! We have had the bracelets for over a week and they are very durable and have been through the washer and dryer (accidentally) twice and both the bracelet and the charms were fine!
We have a ‘token system’ for discipline in our house and our kids can turn in ‘tokens’ for treats if they accumulate them. I was surprised that the kids specifically asked for more of the charms as a treat! We went onto the website to check out the charms and they were reasonably priced $2.99 for five charms… but the kids had wanted to pick out their own charms (like they do for Crocs with Jibbitz and such) and they were disappointed that when buying charms you get to choose a topic and the manufacturer sends you random charms from the category. I didn’t mind this with the thinking that the charms would be more exciting to open. The kids did think it was AMAZING that if you order charms and you get a red dragon charm, it is a surprise charm!
I was surprised that the company even offers to partner with other agencies for special charms. The University of Maryland Celiac Disease Research Group has already done this!
I would definitely say that Tribandz were a hit with the school aged kids at our house! And for the reasonable price, Santa may even bring some in their stockings!
Thank you to Tribandz for providing the product for review. No compensation was received. The opinions are my own and that of my family.

Those are so cute! My daughters would love them. I’ll have to see if I can find them online; I’ve never seen them in stores. Thanks for the review!
