I have a Mommy confession to make….. neither of my girls had a mobile in their crib. I just couldn’t justify spending all that money on something that seemed to have a pretty short life span. We really don’t use the crib for nap time, Emma, almost 8 months old, prefers to take her naps anywhere but her crib – car seat, swing, bouncer or laying on my husband or myself. So overall, I don’t feel like we were missing out on too much by not having a mobile for her.

When I had the opportunity to review the Tiny Love Take-Along Mobile which stated “this mobile takes multi-functionality to the max.” I thought well, this sounds interesting. I’ll give it a shot.

The Tiny Love Take-Along Mobile is geared for ages 0-5 months old, so Emma is a bit old for it according to their recommendations, but she certainly enjoys it. It was very easy to get out of the packaging (a huge bonus in my book!), and I had it ready to go within minutes.

First, I tried it out on the crib. Our crib is an Amish crafted crib that doesn’t seem to quite fit the same size standards of most other cribs on the market so I have had a difficult time getting crib toys to attach to it. The Tiny Love Mobile attaches to a crib or pack and play with an adjustable “claw” that grips to the edge. A few turns of the fastener and we were in business!

The mobile has really cute animals on it and plays 5 different songs for up to 30 minutes of music. The music was a good volume, not too loud but still loud enough that Emma still reacted to it. The songs were pleasant to listen to and not annoying for me to hear over and over which is not the case with all infant musical toys.

The 3-in-1 style was designed to move easily from infant carriers, strollers, and pack and plays for transportation convenience.

Next, we tried it on the infant car seat. I think this was Emma’s favorite place to use it because she was able to grab it and pull on the moving animals. She’s pretty strong for a little girl, but the strap that attached it to the car seat handle held strong. I think it may be better used on the car seat with younger babies that aren’t able to reach the mobile.

We also took it for ride on the stroller. Again, it didn’t disappoint. Emma had a great time “talking” to the animals and the clip that is used to hang it from the stroller awning held it secure.

Emma likes to be part of the action of our family and often sits in her Bumbo next to the sink (safely within our reach) while we wash dishes. My husband took the mobile and hooked it to one of the kitchen cabinet door handles to entertain her while he did dishes and it held her attention for an entire sinkful of dirty dishes!

Overall, I was pleasantly surprised how really versatile and portable The Tiny Love Take-Along Mobile was. I would recommend this mobile to someone like myself that is looking to get the most value and use out of a product. I’m sure Emma will be enjoying it for quite awhile, no matter where she is.
