The Malibu & Michigan

This past weekend we took the Malibu on a road trip up to Michigan to visit my side of the family and to do a little celebrating.

We attended a small birthday party for my Grandma who turned 95, a big birthday party for our niece who turned 4, and gave my parents a card and gift in honor of their 34th wedding anniversary.

The Malibu made the trip more luxurious than usual. We enjoyed all the storage space for our phones, sunglasses, and fast food sodas as well as the extra leg room and large trunk space. Our favorite feature on this trip was the radio controls on the steering wheel which we used to scroll through the hundreds of XM stations without ever taking our eyes off the road.

While Tired Dad Dave and I listened to music up front, Kora & Logan entertained themselves by reading books, using their Tag pens, and playing with silly bands in the back. The 3 hour ride was smooth, we sailed along easily, and it wasn’t long before the kids were asleep.

All of our Michigan relatives enjoyed looking around the Malibu and learning about its many features. Everyone thought it was a classy and sleek car with lots of extra space.

We took lots of photos on our trip with a focus on the driving itself, which you can see in the slide show below. As we neared home the kids were getting a little antsy, so I gave them the camera to capture the Malibu from the back seat.

Thank you to Chevy for selecting me as part of the Gotta Love Chevy NEO Girlfriend Getaway Program, for the Chevy Malibu for review, and gift cards to cover weekly expeditions. No compensation was received.

I have a Malibu also! I love mine for all the same reason, plus I will mention the heated seats. And enough cup holders to go around and then some. Mine’s a 2008, but it still has the new leather car smell. I have the OnStar that lets me know when the air in my tires are too low, for a single person, this is an awesome feature! I look for reasons to take trips, and since it holds six CD, listening to a book on CD is easier! Glad you posted about your car today!

    • Heated seats are incredible aren’t they?! I almost wish it was winter here so we can try them out – almost. OnStar is great too, so helpful and I love that I never have to worry about locking my keys in the car again.

Glad to hear you love your Malibu, it really is a nice car. I’m going to be sad when the program is over and we have to give it back! But hopefully we will be car shopping in the next couple of months and maybe we’ll be able to purchase one.

  2. I used to have a 1999 Chevy Malibu and loved it. Some family came to visit us this summer and they had rented a new Malibu. They are super cute and have enough room for the kids to fit comfortably in. I wish I could have drove it!
