SWAGG is such an innovative organizational idea. I don’t know how I’ve gone without it for this long. SWAGG is a service that takes all the clutter from your wallet and stores it in your smartphone. The app will organize gift cards, loyalty cards, and membership points all under one icon.
Other great features of SWAGG allow you to:
- check balances and membership points on-the-go
- stay connected to your favorite brands so you’ll always know what’s new
- find great local offers simply by entering your zip code
- create, send, and redeem a gift – all from your smartphone
- exchange SWAGG gift cards between any participating merchants
- redeem offers in-store or online
SWAGG works with over 3000 merchant partners including: 1-800-Flowers, American Eagle, Applebee’s, JCPenney, Subway, and many more.
It’s easy to set-up an account and you can be up and running in a matter of minutes. After downloading the app, you activate an email and then register. Once registered you can create your profile and start importing your card information.
To use SWAGG in a store, you open the SWAGG app and select your card or offer. Once the card information is displayed, you then show your phone to the clerk at checkout at any SWAGG partner retailer. The clerk will scan your phone or enter numbers into the register and the offer will be applied.
Currently SWAGG is free to use but there are fee associated with purchasing and exchanging cards.
All this talk about gifts reminds me of one of the best gifts I ever gave (well, technically it was two gifts). When my niece and nephew were celebrating their 1st birthdays, I made a photo book for each of them. It wasn’t just any photo book either. I labored over those books for days. I had a job that allowed me a lot of free time and I spent almost all of working on their books. I deliberated over which pictures to use, what layouts to choose, and which backgrounds to include. To top it off, every single page had a quote about childhood or growing up – which while it added a special touch, had me browsing quote sites until my eyes crossed.
Finally, the books were complete and when they arrived they were perfect. While my niece and nephew were far too young to appreciate them, their parents loved them and I still remember the smiles on their faces as they flipped the pages watching their baby get older right before their eyes.
Both of those photo books really were the two most intensive gifts I’ve ever given and I still feel so proud of the work I put in and the keepsakes the books have become.
What about you? What’s the best gift you’ve ever given?
