With a 4-year-old and an almost 1-year-old, bath time has turned into a full contact sport at our house. Emma thinks that splashing as much water out of the tub as she can is the funniest thing in the entire world. Of course, Mackenzie can’t be left out of the fun, dumping full water cans on Emma’s head, which leads to more splashing. I’m starting to think that giving the kids baths while wearing my bathing suit is the way to go! But, the girls have a great time in the tub together and everyone gets clean without crying, so a wet Mommy is a small price to pay for that victory.
The folks at Simply Good have been spying on me I think. They have created what I think is the greatest invention for kids bath time in their Baby Towel.
The oversized, super soft cotton towel has Velcro fasteners to attach around Mom or Dad’s neck, like a giant bib. When it’s time for getting out of the tub, just put the baby on your chest, wrap them up, and undo the Velcro and that’s it!
One of my favorite unexpected features of the Simply Good Baby Towel was that the towel covered pretty much all of me so my clothes stayed completely dry during the splashfest/bath time!
It was super easy to put on and undo the Velcro one handed while I was holding Emma.
I really liked that it is much larger than the standard baby hooded towels as Emma is starting to be too long and her little legs always end up hanging out the bottom.
To use our other baby towels, I would lay it on the floor and then lay Emma on the towel and try to get her wrapped up before she flipped over and crawled away. I’m very happy that the Simply Good Baby Towel will put an end to me chasing a crawling, wet baby!
The towel also held up well after washing and didn’t lose any of the softness of the 100% cotton. I’m looking forward to many dry bath nights with my trusty Simply Good Baby Towel around my neck!
