Like many others I’ve been out and about shopping quite a bit the last few weeks trying to get ready for the holidays. I’m always on the lookout for great deals on holiday decor and gift ideas.
Sam’s Club gift card received and one offered for giveaway as well.
Dave and I headed out to Sam’s Club on a Monday morning and were pleasantly surprised to find that it was the perfect time to shop. Plenty of parking, no crowds, and lines were short. We first stopped at Guest Services where we got a family membership for $45. It only took a few minutes to have our info typed in, our photos taken, our payment processed, and our cards handed to us. We were soon on our way to shop for the holidays.
Before we got very far Dave put one of the first things he saw on his wish list. A big screen tv. While he looked over the specs of the tv, I admired the beautiful fireplace with indoor heater it sat on. I got his attention away from the tv and showed him the fireplace, we couldn’t believe how gorgeous it was and what a wonderful idea. We thought it would look perfect in our living room and added it to our “One Day” list.
I was excited to do some holiday decor shopping next and was happy to see all of the indoor and outdoor decorations as well as the many gift wrap options. Prices were great and there were some very unique and pretty items.
We went on to see what gift ideas we could find and we came across one of Kora & Logan’s all time favorites – Lego’s!
We also saw big packages of batteries at an amazing price. It may sound funny but batteries are on our Christmas lists every year. With a 8 & (almost) 7 year old we go through a lot of batteries. We couldn’t believe the prices and will definitely be purchasing our batteries from Sam’s Club in the future.
Other gift ideas that we found inspiring included cameras, children’s holiday books, and gift cards.
There are also a number of fitness ideas for those already thinking about their New Year’s Resolutions.
One of my favorite stops on our Sam’s Club holiday shopping trip was the bakery. If you are baking at home you can stock up on confectioner’s sugar and other baking items. Or you can buy delicious and creative cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and more.

This may sound a little far out – but our favorite items at Sam’s Club are in the Meat Department. Sam’s is just about the only place around where we can find LAMB CHOPS (at affordable prices,) For us that is like mana from heaven!

My favorite thing is all the Christmas stuff (decorations, wrapping paper, etc) because after Christmas is over it all goes on sale and you can bring your receipt in and they will give you back the difference in what you paid & the current sales price :)

Holiday Cakes are awesome there as we have one birthday at the holiday time. Plus cheese trays and goodies from their bakery. Their e Clairs are amazing and something we get for our holiday brunch.
Baking supplies are great because we usuially make a lot of homemade candies.
Sam’s Club gets in White Cheddar Cheese Ball Puffs only at Christmas-time and they’re out favorite snack!

Ohh, I’ll have to pick up some powdered sugar at Sams (why have I never thought of that?!) I have quite a few recipes I need it for.. but will use a lot just in the amount of cake rolls I am making the next few weeks (people keep asking me to make them for their functions and I keep saying yes.. going to run out of time lol)
