Being that our dryer has been out-of-commission for the last couple of months, we been relying on a lot of fabric softeners to keep the stiffness out of our jeans and towels as they air dry.
While some fabric softeners have worked better than others, I’m pleased to say that the Purex Complete Crystals Softener has made our air-dried clothes not only comfortable to wear, but has left them smelling incredible too.

I’d become quite the pro in these last couple of months in using liquid fabric softeners and I wasn’t sure that a tiny bottle of crystals could possibly match-up.What I didn’t realize was that this same tiny bottle of crystals would make doing laundry much easier. Instead of having to put the Complete Crystals in separately like liquid fabric softener, you dump them in right on top of the clothing. The bottle is marked off too, so you know exactly how much to pour. How easy is that?! No more running down to add the fabric softener or selecting special settings on the washer.
The other two features of the Purex Complete Crystals Softener that I felt made it stand out from the crowd are:
- It’s 92% natural and instead of coating clothing, it “infuses” it – leaving long-lasting softness and scent.
- The Fresh Clean Waters scent is not over-powering and at the same time gives the clothes that just-out-of-the dryer smell that lasts for days.

I saw this on display at Walmart tonight and wondered what it was.
I am the lady that will stand in the Target aisle and open all of the bottles to smell the detergents to find the best one. I can’t wait to try these crystals and see how long the scent will last! :)
I’ve heard alot about this recently! I especially like that the smell will last for days! To me alot of the kinds I’ve used wears off pretty fast!
I saw this product on display at Wal Mart and decided to try it. I’ll never go back to traditional fabric softeners again!
Saw the Purex complete crystals at WalMart today. Since I like to try new items, I purchased it and immediately washed clothes with it.
I am so impressed, I cannot describe how soft and fresh smelling my clothes are. I’m a stickler for buying the best detergent and softener.I recently discovered Purex classic detergent also.

I tried this. I loved it. So nice just to throw it in the wash with your clothes and have a nice scent afterward too. I tried the spring waters scent but I think I’d like to try the lavender scent next.
This is a wonderful product! I only use the BEST in my wash. I was a little suprised that I would recommend PUREX because it’s normally a brand I would not use. A friend told me about this product, I got a coupon and decided to give it a try…..WONDERFUL! I dryed some of my clothes in the dryer and placed some of them on the line to air dryer BOTH of them smell and feel great. I have the Fresh Spring Waters, I am going back to get the yellow one (can’t remember the name)!
I absolutely HATE this product! I washed a large load of slacks in less that the smallest recommended amount and actually had to go home from work and change clothes because the overpowering smell made my eyes water! And today I am wearing a pair of jeans that I REWASHED and the scent is bothering me- I have never had a problem with any other product, so I don’t think I am super sensitive.
What a great oppourtunity! My friend and I started a laundry service from our homes a few years ago. We found a little tip that we use on every load now. White vinegar. Add 3/4 cup into the rinse cycle and it acts as a natural fabric softner, saves money, is eco-friendly and helps keep your washing machine clean. Not doubting Purex but wanted to pass along this tip also ;)
