My First Impressions Of The LG Intuition

As part of the Verizon Wireless Midwest Savvy Moms we get the chance to review two devices. The first was the Samsung Galaxy S3 which has been amazing and now we’ve received our second device which I’m very excited about  - the LG Intuition.

LG Intuition The Intuition is considered a phablet which is the combination of a smartphone and tablet. It’s much larger than a typical smartphone but smaller than a tablet. Here you can see it next to Dave’s iPhone 4s to get an idea of its size.

LG Intuition Size One of my favorite features is the 5 inch screen. It’s large, crisp, clear and easy to read. I love using it for Pinterest. The two columns are much larger on the Intuition than a typical smartphone and it’s so easy to see details and descriptions.

LG Intuition Review It’s also great for Instagram. I love how large the photos are and the colors are so bright. It really makes using Instagram even more fun.

LG Intuition Reviews The size of the Intuition makes it a great crossover e-reader. It’s actually only one inch smaller than most standard e-ink e-readers. I made a video to better showcase these features so you can get a good idea of it’s size and display:

As I mentioned in the video I also like that the size makes using the on-screen keyboard a breeze. The keys are large and easy to click. They’re a nice size in portrait and even larger in landscape.

Intuition Keyboard Size There’s also a mode that allows you to shrink the keyboard to one side and type with one hand.

Intuition One Handed Keyboard The one handed keyboard is a great feature. It makes it easy to send off a text message while getting a glass of water or standing in line at the grocery checkout.

I also have beenreally enjoying the Verizon 4G LTE service. It’s quick and speedy and the service has been great here in my area of Cleveland. And the hotspot has allowed me to stay connected in places I normally wouldn’t have a signal like at Kora & Logan’s gymnastics classes. The gyms don’t offer WiFi so it’s so convenient and helpful to still be able to connect to 4G LTE and then turn on the hotspot and connect my laptop which allows me to blog while the kids are in class. When Kora’s class lasted 3 hours at a time I can’t tell you how thankful I was for the hotspot!

I’ve been very pleased so far with the LG Intuition and look forward to learning more about it in the coming weeks. I’ll be sure to share with you more of my favorite features on Twitter, Facebook, and in upcoming blog posts.

Let me know if you have any questions about the Intuition or phablets and I’ll be happy to do my best to answer them.

Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Wireless Midwest Savvy Moms program and have been provided with a wireless device and six months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.

Pretty cool although I probably wouldn’t want to use it as a smartphone bc of its size.

  2. Cool! I’m eligible for an upgrade in February and I’m getting a phablet. I just learned that word yesterday and it cracks me up. Now sure where I’m going to store such a large phone (my built-in case in my purse will be too small), but I’ve GOT to have one.

  3. This phone rocks! I wish it was available on AT&T because it would race on 4g LTE. I think it would be great for my San Francisco hair salon — I could write notes on photos of the styles I create!

  4. I have a feeling these “phablets” are going to be becoming more popular soon, even though I find it a little annoying that you wouldn’t be able to fit this into a small pocket, haha. But pockets are probably going to start conforming to whatever will be put in them too, if you think about it.

  5. Love all of the features on it! It’s definitely too big for my taste, but I can see my husband liking it a lot.

  6. Wow it looks huge! The pictures look great, and I like the keyboard shrinking feature

  7. I love how big it is! Looks like a great phone with cool features!

  8. It’s big, I like big! Looks like it takes great photos too. I love my LG Verizon phone too, great brand, makes great products!

  9. I really loved this phone. Have you gotten to play with Quick note yet? I did not experience the one handed keyboard. That sounds awesome.

  10. When I saw you at Coca-Cola you had a Galaxy Note. How big is this compared to the note? I think it is soooo cool!! I know the bigger size is probably better for reading books and watching movies!

  11. This is really neat! Love all the great features!

  12. I’d not heard of a phablet until now. I need to make a choice for my son for Christmas really soon – I just find it overwhelming. I think he’d like this one, though!

  13. I love the big screen on that!!

  14. I hadn’t thought about using it for an eReader. Great suggestion thanks.

  15. I think I would be a fan of the 5 inch screen also.

  16. I’m so glad this is available now. It’s been around for awhile in Korea and most of the older generation that gets eye strain from the small phone screens appreciate the larger size. I really hope apple figures that out and makes the mini into a phone!

Awesome ! Looks Like A Cool Phone! Love The “Phablet” Concept :)

  18. Never heard of a phablet before. Pretty cool!

  19. I just upgraded my phone in May and now I want this one!

  20. I really like the one handed keyboard! I have an iPhone but always have fun playing with other devices. :)

  21. I am still using a plain old cell phone (blushing) but it is a Verizon!! One of these days I will get up the courage to try one of the newer generation of phines, e-books, etc etc etc

  22. that phone is awesome!! I want an upgrade to my phone so badly, but my phone company won’t let me. They say it’s too soon. I’m like, “hey, I’m wanting to pay you MORE money. Why not?” lol. I’ll keep asking and maybe one of these days they will say, “yes, you can upgrade”. Wahoo.

But yeah, I love the bigger screen on this one; and the pictures are super clear and that one handed texting is awesome.
