Make a Spectacle of Yourself Contest & $50 Visa Gift Card Giveaway CLOSED

Did you know that 80% of what we learn is through our eyes, yet 85 percent of America’s preschoolers haven’t received a vision exam by age 5? Or that studies show that 60% of students identified as problem learners have undetected vision troubles? And that 70% of juvenile delinquents have uncorrected vision problems?

Think About Your Eyes is a campaign that was started by the Foundation for Eye Health Awareness and it’s main purpose it to educate the public about the importance of comprehensive vision exams and eye health. The Think About Your Eyes site has many useful resources to make taking care of your eyes even easier including the eye doctor locator tool so no matter where you are, you can find an eye doctor near you and schedule an eye exam and they offer free email or text reminders to visit their eye doctor yearly.

In their attempt to make people aware of the importance of taking better care of their eyes, the Think About Your Eyes campaign is inviting consumers to “Make a Spectacle of Yourself” in a Facebook contest where they could be one of four lucky winners of a $400 Gift Card!

Serious eye disease affect more than 30 million Americans. Many of these people are affected by a condition which could have been prevented had they worn proper protective eyewear that blocked 100% of UV rays. The “Make a Spectacle of Yourself” contest encourages participants to submit photos of themselves or their children wearing proper eyewear. The four winners will win a $400 general use gift card and their winning photos will be featured as profile images on the Think About Your Eyes Facebook Page for a week!
