I love trying out new foods. It’s always fun to discover something new that becomes a family favorite. That’s why I was excited to learn that Kraft Foods is launching more than 40 new foods and beverages.

Kraft Foods We were lucky enough to get to try some of the new products and were pleased with the new flavors, flexible meal options, and delicious products. Here’s a look at what we tried over the past few weeks and our thoughts about each item.

Kraft Miracle Whip Dipping Sauce

Kraft Miracle Whip Dipping Sauce As soon as we opened the box of samples Tésa and I were immediately intrigued with the Miracle Whip Dipping Sauces. The flavors sounded amazing. I was impressed with the eye catching photos and colors on the bottles. I also liked that they were easy to hold and squeeze.

We were excited to find that the Kickin’ Onion Blossom tasted exactly like it’s name described. If you’ve ever had a good onion ring sauce, this is very similar taste with just a hint of Miracle Whip. The Sassy Sweet Tomato was very sweet and would be a big hit with anyone who enjoys dipping their french fries in both ketchup and Miracle Whip. Our favorite was the Smokin’ Bacon Ranch. It was so full of flavor that I can see this becoming our go-to dipping sauce for chips, chicken fingers, wings, and more. It would also be delicious on a sandwich and I can’t wait to try it in a recipe or two.

New Planters Products

Planters We had the chance to try out a number of new flavors from Planters as well. They were all full of flavor and would be great for snacks and on our sandwiches.

Planters Nut-rition Sustaining Energy Honey Nut, Apple Cinnamon, and Chocolate Nut

Planters Nutrition I am so excited about these new flavors! I love these sustaining energy mixes and found it hard to only eat one at a time! I like that they are similar to trail mix, have a variety of nuts, honey soy clusters, and 10 grams of protein. The flavors are wonderful too and I like that they all are a little bit different.

Planters Nuts The Honey Nut was tasty and I enjoyed it, but my favorites were the Apple Cinnamon and the Chocolate Nut. The Apple Cinnamon is full of dried fruits that are delicious. I can see this becoming one of Kora & Logan’s favorite snacks.

The Chocolate Nut is perfect for satisfying that chocolate craving and anyone who enjoys the sweet-salty combination like I do, will love these. The candy coated dark chocolate soynuts that really hit the spot and the variety of nuts are a wonderful mix. These won’t last long in our house and we will definitely be buying them once we run out.

Planters Nut-rition Cherry Chocolate Peanut Butter

Planters Nutriton Peanut Butter This was the biggest surprise in the box. When I first read the label and saw that the peanut butter was a cherry chocolate flavor, I admit I was a little hesitant. I’m happy to say that after I scooped out a spoonful and tried it, I couldn’t believe how delicious it was! The cherry chocolate flavor along with the peanut butter is a great combination and it gives the peanut butter a very elegant and even gourmet taste. I love that the peanut butter by itself features wholesome ingredients and I enjoy the cherry chocolate flavor so much I’ll have a hard time not eating this by the spoonful!

Planters Flavored Dry Roasted Onion & Garlic and Honey BBQ

I enjoy snacking on Planters Dry Roasted peanuts whenever I’m on the go. I keeps a jar in the car and when I get hungry I just grabs a handful or two. That’s why I was very interested to try the new Roasted Onion & Garlic and the Honey BBQ flavors. I enjoyed their subtle flavors and said they would make a nice change from the regular Dry Roasted peanuts.

Planters Salted & Honey Roasted Peanuts Multi-Packs

These multipacks are great for Tésa to put in her purse while she’s out and about with the kids. They are a good snack and Kora enjoys them whenever she is hungry, which is often lately because I’m sure she’s growing! These would be perfect on road trips or for those who are always on the go. They are convenient and we really like the new varieties.

Kraft Homestyle Macaroni & Cheese Southwest Tortilla & Creamy Broccoli Microwaveable Bowls

Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese Kora & Logan could be considered macaroni & cheese connoisseurs. If we would let them they’d eat it every day. We’ve enjoyed trying the many different varieties of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese so I was excited to give these a try for lunch the other day. They were easy to make, just pop them in the microwave and they are ready in minutes.

The Southwest Tortilla was a very rich and creamy dish that I enjoyed. I was surprised to find that you top this bowl with chipotle lime tortilla chips. I thought it was unique touch and I can’t wait to have this again. Kora declared it her favorite of the two and I enjoyed it as well.

Kraft Homestyle Mac & Cheese Tortilla The Creamy Broccoli was really good too. It has more of a classic flavor through the white cheddar cheese. I like that it is mixed with real broccoli and topping it with toasted breadcrumbs gave it an elegant flair. Logan liked this one best and said it was delicous. This was so easy to make that I’ll be sure to add it to our grocery list next time I head out shopping.

A.1. Dry Rubs & Marinade Mixes

A1 Marinade Mix We made chicken the other day and decided to give the new A.1. Dry Rubs & Marinade Mixes a try. We marinated some of the chicken in the Original mix and the Savory Garlic Herb.  We also used both the Sweet Mesquite BBQ & Bold Original rub on different pieces of chicken as well. It was like a A.1. chicken taste test!

Chicken Marinades We enjoyed the flavors the Original marinade added to what would have normally been a plain and boring piece of chicken. Adding the marinades were easy, we simply followed the steps on the back. While Tésa thought the Original marinade was a bit spicy, I enjoyed it. The Savory Garlic Herb was flavorful and offered something different to a typical weeknight meal. We’d love to try some of the other flavors when they are available like Chiptole BBQ and Tomato & Chili Pepper. Don’t those sound delicious?

Chicken Rubs The chicken with the dry rub turned out wonderfully as well. The Bold Original dry rub was delicious too. I liked that it was different from a typical marinade in that it helped keep the chicken juicy on the inside and added a nice crust to the outside.  The Sweet Mesquite BBQ was just the right amount of sweet flavor mixed with barbecue. We both liked this best of the four we tried and look forward to using it again soon.

Kool-Aid Watermelon Unsweetened Drink Mix

Kool-Aid Watermelon Over the summer we tried the Kool-Aid Unsweetened Drink Mix in Stawberry-Kiwi and it was so good that I couldn’t wait to try the watermelon flavor. It was a big hit with Kora & Logan and I liked it too. The watermelon is subtle but not too sweet and we look forward to serving this over the summer. It will be a big hit at our next summer get together.

Mio Cherry Blackberry Liquid Water Enhancer

Mio I love the Mio water enhancers. I’m pretty certain I has every flavor. I drink a glass nearly every day so I was very excited to see the new Cherry Blackberry flavor. I tried it and was pleased with the taste. I liked that the new flavor is subtle and not too sweet and I would buy it once it runs out. Téa likeA Mio too and especially likes that there are no artificial flavors.

Jell-O Jigglers Holiday Mold Kit & Ice Age Jigglers Mold Kit

Jello Jigglers Mold Kits I’m excited about these new Jell-O mold kits because we will be having Kora & Logan’s birthday party this month and I know they would be thrilled to have both Ice Age and Holiday Jigglers at their party. I like that the holiday kit comes with two 8-oz servings of Jell-o, this makes shopping easier. These will be a big hit with the kids and Tésa is looking forward to making these for them!

We are excited about the new line-up from Kraft Foods and look forward to the many more food and beverage products coming out in 2013. It’s always fun to discover new foods and beverages and since we’ve been so pleased with the items above, we are sure the additional items will also be full of flavor, offer great meal options, and be delicious too.

Kraft Foods sent me a box of free products. Products were provided. No compensation was received.
