Like all 3- and 4-year olds, Kora and Logan love to watch children’s shows. Since tv is a part of our lives, I figure if they are going to watch a show it might as well be educational. Luckily, at this age they think learning is fun so they enjoy the typical shows like Dora and Diego and when we borrow DVD’s from the library their favorite series is the sign language videos.
We had the opportunity recently to review the Juno Baby Rhythm Adventures DVD. The Emmy Award winning product line marries children’s entertainment with orchestral music. It very much reminded me of the Baby Einstein series. The colors were extremely bright to captivate the children’s attention. The background music was classical and soothing. The characters had the kids clapping and patting their stomachs to the beat.
Although Kora and Logan enjoyed the Juno Baby Rhythm Adventures DVD, it was a little bit on the young side for my 3- and 4-year-old. I believe infants and young toddlers would be entranced, though.
Not only does Juno Baby strive to help develop young minds through music, but they are committed to bringing music to children all over the world. They have partnered with social service agencies and children’s organizations and for every Juno Baby DVD, CD, or book purchased they will also donate a similar product to a child in a underserved community.
Simply because my children were a little old for Juno Baby, we award:
1 thumb up, 1 thumb down.
