Fun Easter Egg Hunt Idea: Jojo Electronic Easter Eggs – Review

How do you like your eggs? Scrambled? Over Easy? Or Electronic?

If you are looking for an interesting way to start Easter traditions for your young loved ones, the Jojo and Friends Electonic Easter Egg is an adorable way to start!

The Jojo Electronic Easter Egg was sent to our house ready for fun! This is a plastic egg with a cute smiley face and a simple on and off button.

The concept of the electronic egg is to aid little ones in finding the Easter egg because it has a voice “calling” to them to help out!

Our son Carter, who just turned two, needed help with the concept of Easter egg hunting before his two older siblings snatch up everything so this product came right in time!

In the video below you can see that Carter finds it the egg after listening to it call him. If you listen carefully on the videos you can hear the egg call, “Come find me!” and “Yooo whooo!” and “I’m hiding!” and then you occasionally hear a dog barking.

At first, I was confused as to why and Easter egg would bark- but you see that when you open the egg there is an attached plastic dog named Max inside the egg as the prize.

Jojo Electronic Easter Egg Review

After finding the egg, Carter kept bringing it to me to hide again. He wanted to keep playing! The next time we hid it, I thought it was cute that Carter went back to near the couch where he had originally found the egg to look… that developmental object permanence is still in effect! It was cute. This could become a new game instead of hide-and-go seek!!!

Later we will try hiding the egg without using the calling feature to see if Carter can find it without help. This was a great way for young kids to play with Easter eggs. When Carter finds the egg and opens it, the egg says, “You found me!” and “I’m Max!”

My older kids liked playing with the on/off button and imitating the voice and they also took turns hiding the egg for each other, but because they already knew the concept of Easter egg hunting, it wasn’t as fun to them because it made finding the egg too easy.

The eggs comes is 4 colors: yellow, blue, green, or red. The Jojo Electronic Easter Egg costs around $3.99 and are available at Fred Meyers, Meijer’s, Toys R’ Us, Learning Tree Shops, Christmas Tree Shops, Nantucket, Safeway, Schnuck’s and Walmart Canada and it come with batteries included!

What I Like About the Jojo Electronic Easter Egg:

  • It really does help teach younger kids how to hunt and find the egg
  • It has a cute voice calling to the kids
  • There is an on and off switch that you can turn off the egg when it is not in use
  • The prize inside is not candy- instead it is a cute attached plastic character- this is great because Easter is not about candy and we are really trying to eat less sugar and junk food
  • It encourages imagination and we made up some fun games to play with it

We recommend the Jojo Electronic Easter Egg to anyone with little ones excited for Easter egg hunting this year. It’s a great holiday product that I can see my son playing with year-round.
