I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Ivy Bridge College. I received a promotional item as a thank-you for participating and a discount on classes at Ivy Bridge College.
As we head into 2013, I’ve been trying to get my goals in line for the new year. One of them is to take a few classes and go back to school.
Have you ever wanted to go back to school? I love learning and after I graduated college, I was accepted into graduate school and nearly earned my Master’s degree. Not long after that, I took a few classes at a local community college and I’ve taken a couple of classes online. I’ve also attended multiple conferences where I’ve truly enjoyed the sessions and learned something from each one.
My mom always joked that I could be a professional student. It’s true.
Of all of the classes I’ve enrolled in, the one’s that fit my life as a parent best were the online classes. I was able to fit them in between taking the kids to school, running errands, blogging, keeping up the house, and taking the kids to their after school activities. I liked that I could check out class after the kids went to bed and I really loved that even as I sat through one of Kora’s two hour gymnastics classes I could connect online and “go to class.”
That’s why I was excited to learn about Ivy Bridge College. It’s an online program through Tiffin University that is perfect for stay-at-home and working moms to work towards an Associate’s degree at their own pace. In fact, 50% of the students at Ivy Bridge College are mothers.
- Dedicated free and weekly success coaching which includes career planning, interviewing skills, and resume writing
- Personalized academic advising
- Free tutoring
- Transfer advising
- A private online community just for moms
How great is that? I know when I took my online classes I would have loved this much assistance and guidance. I also would have really enjoyed the opportunity to connect with other moms in an online community. This is a great idea!
I was pleased to see that Ivy Bridge College is designed for students to earn their associate’s degree and seamlessly transfer to one of over 150 big name schools such as Arizona State University, Pepperdine University, Bowling Green State University, and even Baldwin Wallace College here in the Cleveland area.
Ivy Bridge College has designed clear transfer agreements with these partner schools to keep the process simple and uncomplicated. They have even mapped out success paths so students don’t waste money or time. This is great because when I was in college I did transfer schools a number of times and I can tell you it can be a real headache. So I’m thrilled that Ivy Bridge College has put measures in place to make sure the transfer process goes smoothly so much so that one of their taglines is, “America’s Transfer College.”
The other thing that pleasantly surprised me about Ivy Bridge College is that it costs about 1/3 of what it costs to attend other private universities. I was also happy to see that they have a broad selection on online Associate degree programs including:
- Computer & IT
- General Studies
- Law Enforcement
- Sport Management
- …and more!
I’m excited about Ivy Bridge College and the ability to earn an Associate’s Degree in as little as 17 months and I’m thrilled to offer the giveaway below!
