Her take on risk taking really gave me food for thought. My 2.5 year old doesn’t really like to take risks. She is extremely cautious and it bothers me a bit. I keep trying to encourage her but something inside her head stops her. I guess I should be happy that she is so safe. I like the idea of small pitchers and tiny containers with snacks in them!

I think I need to read this book. My son (just turned 7) has been testing our authority in everything. It’s gotten to the point that if his first responce to a request is no (and it often is) he loses a priviledge. It’s been like an army camp over here the last week!

Have to check that book out! I have 3 headstrong kids. Finding the balance between raising independent thinkers and kids who aren’t sassy is a challenge! :)
