The International Children’s Festival is only weeks away! From May 2nd – 7th, 2011, PlayhouseSquare will be alive with this incredible event that features a fun and interactive experience for the whole family. Performances, workshops, exhibits, and even an art walk will help introduce children to other the arts and other cultures in an entertaining and enlightening way. This year marks the Second Annual Children’s Festival, the first drew more than 12,000 students and families!
Just a few of the acts during the festival include:
- Celebrating the Music of Tito Puente – a live 15-piece Latin jazz ensemble with professional dancers
- 46 Circus Acts in 45 Minutes - an amazing performance featuring acrobats who bend, juggle, and balance & do it all in 45 minutes!
- Boats, Room on a Broom, Shopping for Shoes and more!
There are also a few free activities as well including: the Art Walk, the 14th Street World Stage, take-home crafts, face painting, balloon animals, and much more.
