As I spend about half my life on airplanes and sitting around waiting in airports, my iPod and earbuds are my constant companions. I usually have at least 2 pairs of earbuds floating around in my work bag in case I leave them behind somewhere or they break. I don’t usually have higher quality earbuds as I’m pretty tough on them. iFrogz wanted to send a pair of their Ear Pollution Plugz with Mic to test out and I was happy to oblige.
The Ear Pollution Plugz with Mic earbuds are noise isolating earbuds that have an attached microphone. These earbuds are Compatible with iPhones, iPods, BlackBerrys (which I have), and any other media device with a 3.5 mm jack. They reduce unwanted noise while still offering great quality sound with the music on my iPod. The earbuds themselves are lightweight and fit comfortably inside my ear. The package does contain 3 different sizes of earpieces to customize your fit. I have small ears and the smallest ones were perfect for me.
So the Ear Pollution Plugz with Mic earbuds delivered good quality for listening to music, but I was pretty skeptical about how it would work with my Blackberry. I didn’t hold high hopes for the microphone at all.
However, the Plugz proved me wrong.
The sound quality was really good in the earpieces and my husband had no problem hearing me when I called him on his cell phone. When I travel, he and I talk cell phone to cell phone as all of my travel is out of state and out of the country. Often he will put me on speakerphone or try to use a Bluetooth device so he can talk to me hands-free and still do what he needs to around the house. Most of the time it works okay, but now he wants a pair of Ear Pollution Plugz with Mic of his own, just for talking hands-free because he was that impressed with the quality.
These earbuds retail for around $20 which surprised me. I was expecting a much higher price for the quality of sound and the features. The Ear Pollution Plugz with Mic have become my new go to earbuds and no more cheap, horrible sounding earbuds for me!

I apparently have little ears, because the earbuds you stick in your ears always end up hurting my ears. I like that these have smaller sizes!
Finally, a set of earbuds that come with various sizes–the apple ipod ones never stay in!
