I Am Me And You Are You by Eva Marie Cote Is a wonderful children’s book that has a clear message which focuses on the incredible quality of individuality.
It is a great book, which promotes the appreciation individual unique physical appearances, but it is the whimsical rhyming and rhythm that make reading the book so fun!
It is reminiscent of the classic Dr. Suess and thus instantly scored in our house!
The illustrations are cute, loveable colored pencil-like sketches that the kids even later tried to imitate!
My favorite part was the end, “So, love your skin and love your toes and love your hair and love your nose. You’re you! You’re Perfect! You’re Divine!”
I Am Me And You Are You was published by Second Street Books in Ann Arbor, Michigan, but was a first rate read at our house!
