We’ve been under the weather around here. One of our favorite ways to pass the time when we’re trapped inside is to have a picnic for lunch or dinner. I spread a big beach towel out and the kids get a kick out of eating on the floor. I try to pick easy to eat foods so there’s little mess – usually grilled cheese and apple slices does the trick.

Great idea! I'll be filing this away for when Tyler's a little older. Nothing like "breaking the rules" and eating at somewhere other than the table.

This is great! I do this occasionally, too, and they seem to eat better when having a picnic. I guess because it's so much fun?
