We just got back last night from a week long family reunion on Seabrook Island in South Carolina. Seabrook Island is just 30 minutes south of Charleston and it’s a gorgeous place. We rented a vacation cottage and were just minutes from beautiful beaches. It was a wonderful trip and we were able to spend lots of time with relatives we don’t see often and we celebrated our cousin’s graduation. She picked the place and it couldn’t have been more perfect and relaxing.
Here’s more than a few pics from our trip:
What a fun time! I always look forward to family vacations!
Beautiful pictures. Family vacations are good for the soul. :)
Just found out last week, my husband is taking me to the Outer Banks of NC in June. Seeing your pics of the beach make we want to be there right now!!! Have you done any reviews there? I looked thru, but didn’t see any.
Gorgeous pictures and looks like y’all had a wonderful time.
My husband and I celebrate our 30th next summer. He’s talked about a cruise, or visiting a tropical place, but a beach house on the coast sounds wonderful to ME!!
What a beautiful trip! Lovely family time that you’ll never forget! I’ve never been to the south carolina beaches before. Just FL.
I never made it to the beach this year – ugh – I haven’t seen the ocean since 1997 :(
What great pics! They capture what we love best about the South Carolina Coast. And we live here at Folly Beach full time!
Come on back anytime. The ocean and waves will be calling you next year!
The beaches in South Carolina are lovely. I have been to Folly Beach which is right outside of Charleston.
The beach looks WONDERFUL, and what fun to have found starfish!
We’d like to go explore some of these coastal islands and see if we can’t find a new favorite place.
This is a very nice location!! Might plan for a future family vacation here!
Beautiful photos…and it looks like you really enjoyed some great quality time together…
Wow! I live in Summerville and usually visit Folly Beach. I’ve heard of Seabrook Island but have never been there. It looks so beautiful, uncluttered and so much cleaner. Thanks for sharing, I’m definitely going to go down there sometime soon!
South Carolina is not somewhere I had ever thought about vacationing, but after seeing your photos I definitely would like to go there! This looks like the perfect family place and we just love the beach! Thank you for sharing!
beautiful place. wish I could visit it someday
I want to go!!! That’s not too far from where I live and that pace looks gorgeous!!!
Amazing photos, the beach is beautiful
oh what lovely photos – sounds like a fantastic time!! LOVE the starfish!
You got a ton of neat pictures didn’t you? I love that kite, makes me want to fly one now…. :)
This looks like a fabulous family reunion. I want to go now. Drop by and link up at our Tuesdays Travels if you’d like I’d LOVE to have you! AND that starfish is just AWESOME !!!
Can I just say amazing pictures. I want to go to there!!!
How beautiful! We are driving down to NC at the end of this week. Yay vacation!
I really like all the photos, especially the one with the stingray. Looks like you guys had a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing!
Wonderful photos – looks idyllic!
the beach looks awesome
Wow, talk about beautiful!!
Looks like fun, and what a wide open beach!
It looks like you had a great reunion. I would love to go there and I think it is just about time for my family to have a reunion.
Wow, you saw some really cool stuff on your beach walks! I’ve never seen a giant turtle in its natural habitat, or even tracks of one. I’ve never been that close to a sting ray either. I usually don’t get to the beach until the late morning or early afternoon, and by then all the cool stuff has been discovered by other people, and any sea creatures that were hanging around have been scared off by the crowds of people.
Wonderful pictures. Thanks for sharing! I love posting my travel pieces and I always love reading yours and seeing your trip pics. Very well done!
Oh, I’m so jealous! Your pictures are amazing and this sounds like such a great place!
WOW! Those are just gorgeous pictures! What an amazing time!
beautiful pics,, looks like a great weekend
Great pictures!!! Wow I’ve never seen a starfish in its natural habitat the sting ray is pretty cool!
You took some gorgeous pictures! That stingray…eeks! I loved the deer pic though. That would be so cool to see that daily. My sister had lived in Summerville, S.C. until recently. Wonder if she was ever here? Thanks for sharing! Looks like you had a great time!
Great photos. I have never been there but it looks fun. My kids would probably love the beach there. With it being that empty they would think they owned it. I think it would be fun to run on the boardwalks in the early, early morning!
How fun. I have never been there, but looks like a fabulous place to visit!
Love your pictures. We have been going to Seabrook Island for years and will actually be there this coming week for the July 4th festivities. My brother and sister have places there. I love seeing it through someone else’s eyes (and through their excellent photography!)
