When we first moved into this house we took the refrigerator that came with it. It was an old top freezer fridge. It was fine and did the job. Cleaning it was a bit of a pain, I’d have to take everything out just to wash the shelves. One day I was cleaning and Logan decided to help me.
He was a good little helper. He’d look everything over as he’d remove it and then he’d climb in and have a seat.
When we had this refrigerator we had to use a filtered water pitcher. It was a great way to get filtered water, but we had to fill it up once a day or more. And then we were never quite sure when the filter needed to be changed so I’m sure that we went over the expiration a number of times.
Thankfully about two years ago we bought a “new to us” refrigerator. It’s great because it uses a Whirlpool Water Filter and has a water and ice cube dispenser. I love it because changing the filter is easy and done in just a couple of steps and it lasts for a couple of months.
It even comes with a handy sticker for the inside of your fridge to let you know when you should change the filter again.
We use filtered water for everything. It’s what we drink all day. I’ll fill reusable water bottles up with the filtered fridge water and take with us on a road trip. If I’m heating up a can of soup and it calls for water, I get the water from the fridge instead of the faucet.
It’s so wonderful not having to fill a pitcher up and wait for it to filter. The water is ready to go at a moment’s notice.
It also makes me feel better knowing that we are all drinking water and eating meals made with water that is free from impurities. As a parent, with everything our kids our exposed to these days, it’s nice to know that by using a Whirlpool Water Filter we are keeping some of the unnecessary substances out of our water.
