I have to admit that I am a sucker for children’s personalized gifts. To me it says, “I thought about you enough to pre-order a special something just for you!” The downfall is that my children’s names aren’t your run-of-the-mill John or Kim (not that I have any grudges against more traditional common names!).
When Frecklebox offered for me to review some products I jumped at the chance! We tried the ‘Scream for Ice Cream’ puzzle for my daughter Avery as well as a ‘Monsters chore chart’.
My 5-year-old daughter LOVES puzzles! Ever since she was younger she has sat still, focused, and completed difficult puzzles. She will even play with them over and over again. Because she is so good at them we are working on 100 piece puzzles little by little each day- so when I saw the personalized puzzle I knew this was right up her alley!
The options for personalized puzzles are great for both boys and girls at Frecklebox and the puzzles are 20 pieces. I thought Avery might be bored with this because they are bigger chunky pieces and she is “experienced” in puzzles, but she was thrilled!
She carries the box around and has been doing “the puzzle with my name and ice cream!” at least daily for over a week!!! The puzzle quality is nice. The pieces are on a great firmer foam board and are glossy. The curves of the puzzle fit together nicely and won’t “chip and break” like other puzzles we have bought. Avery is just learning to spell and write her name so the clear printed name was exciting to her. This product would be great for children younger and even older. Every puzzle lover will love a personalized puzzle!
We also tried a Personalized Chore Chart. Here’s an example from their site:
I have to admit- the chore charts were really cool! There were many options. They were made for one child and the idea was that each child gets their own chore chart- however I pushed the limit and tried to make one chore chart work for my two older children by squeezing the columns and rows accordingly. Chore charts made for 2 or more children would be a great option in the future.
The chart came with both magnets and velcro to adhere to wherever you want best. It also came with a dry erase board marker to fill the chart out and then wipe away and erase and reuse the chart appropriately. The marker also came with velcro dots to stick it nearby conveniently. This was a handy feature!
Placement of the chart in our home was challenging because I wanted my 5 and 7 yr olds to be able to help themselves to the chart and compare progress in hopes that their subconscious dormant competitiveness and drive for independence would foster getting the chores done faster. I decided on putting the chart in a central location on the fridge.
This thoughtfulness was thwarted by our toddler who promptly erased all the evidence of hard work by wiping the dry erase board off. The older 2 kids were mad while the toddler stood proud.
I think this product is wonderful, but might work better for older children.
Both the Frecklebox personalized puzzle and personalized chore charts, I loved the overall concepts, styles, features, and quality of the products. Frecklebox also had very fast shipping. I would definitely consider shopping from them in the future.
Thank you to Frecklebox for providing the products for review. No compensation was received. The opinions are mine and that of my family.

The puzzle is so cute! I know a little girl that would love one too :)
Ooooh, personalized chore charts. I think my niece and nephew (and especially their mom and dad) might like that one!
That’s funny because we have the same exact Spider Man on our fridge! Anyways, my little guy is a little too young for the chore charts, but he does love puzzles. And, I love the idea of a personalized one! What a cute idea!
