I’ve always loved travel. Growing up we took many family vacations all over the United States and I treasured each one. We always had wonderful experiences, took plenty of pictures, and I now have lots of great memories from those trips.
All this vacationing gave me the travel bug and I still love to travel. Now that Kora & Logan are older it’s easier to go places with them and they were even champs recently when we roadtripped from Cleveland to Orlando to go to Disney World. The way down took about 17 hours but the way back took 20! It was an amazing trip with lots of great memories and I feel if the kids can find it fun to stay cooped up in a car for that long that they would have no problem hopping on a plane to vacation out of the U.S.
With all the traveling I did growing up the only countries I’ve been to outside the U.S. are Canada and Mexico. I’d love one day to visit Europe, especially the UK. As an English major in college, I read a lot of English literature and think it would be so fun to visit the place that inspired many of the books I read.
I’ve started looking into family holiday deals and am pretty excited about the pricing I’ve found, as well as the list of things to do. If we were able to take a trip, I know we wouldn’t get bored. With visits to castles and cathedrals, a trip to Stonehenge, thrill-seeking at Alton Towers theme park and the London Eye, as well as plenty of golf courses and beaches, there is something for every member of our family to enjoy.
A United Kingdom trip would be a wonderful vacation to experience with the whole family and I’m starting to save our pennies now in the hopes we can make the trip one day soon!
What about you? What family vacation would you like to go on? And have you ever been to the United Kingdom?

So many fun places to visit! The Ferris wheel is amazing!
we haven’t been able to really take a vacation as a family yet because of finances but have so many places we’d like to go
I don’t think I could be in the car that long with my two boys, age 8 and 5, especially on the way home. I have never traveled abroad but would love to someday.
Traveling with little ones is so hard! We have 4 boys ages 6 and under-roads trips are a lot of work! :) But we love to go places! Would love to see Disney sometime.
My parents took our daughter to Europe for three weeks. They had the best time. She was 8 and loves to tell people about Paris.
Love the idea of traveling to Europe. It is my favorite place. I went to London, Paris, Brussels and Amsterdam on a trip by myself(when I was single) and had a blast. I then returned to London 6 years ago with my husband. He loved it and we both would love to move to the U.K. if it were possible. My girls are 4 and 2 and we drive to W. Virginia and they still get antsy a bit, but hopefully soon we can drive to Orlando too. We so want to do Disney World. I also want to take the girls back to the U.K. it’s a gorgeous country with so much history, which I love. It seems like they enjoy life so much more over there…here it seems it’s bigger, better, faster, more and there it is not like that…I just love it there.
I went to Europe with my family when I was in college. It was a great trip, but I think I was glad that they waited until we were older (my brothers were in high school and junior high). I’m not sure we would have appreciated it the same if we were younger.
We are doing the road trip to Disney with the kids this year. We have our hotel booked for about 9 hours into the trip…hopefully, we won’t regret that. We figure having day 2 be shorter drive is the way to go.
We’re headed to Orlando for our first Disney world trip (kids are almost 4, and 6) Wednesday. Yay! Thank goodness for time share – 10 days! And in September, to Glacier National Park & Paws Up Resort in Montana. I am so excited for that I can’t stand it. First family vacation by air too.
Those are great family travel ideas. I’ve traveled to the UK (London) twice on business. The second time, I went, my hubby to be at the time came along and I extended my stay so that we could explore a bit. It is a beautiful city, and so easy to get around which is a plus when traveling with kids.
