I just received the cutest pair of socks from EZ SOX . They are green with frogs on the top of the foot and little bit of grip on the bottom, but the best part is the loops that are at the top of the socks to help my son, Mitchell, who is four, put them on without any help. I’m thinking it’s a boy thing, but I’ve really been noticing that Mitchell sometimes has no interest in working on things that are difficult for him and will increase his independence, like putting on his own socks.
Actually, tonight at bedtime, I got him dressed in his PJ’s, brushed his teeth for him, and actually lifted him up and put him into his bed, all to successfully avoid a meltdown.
Even though he’s not perfect at putting on his socks, he is an expert at taking them off. The second we walk in the house, he sits down at the door and seconds later he’s barefoot. He might even do that at a stranger’s house if I don’t tell him not to.
We’ve been working with him being able to put on his own socks and when he attempts it, he’s doing okay. Well, with EZ SOX, I think the attempts at putting them on himself might be more frequent.
The socks I received were for shoe sizes 7-12 and for ages 3-5.
EZ SOX are training socks for kids and are seamless. The loops help with pulling on the socks easily and the picture on the socks let the child know which way is up.
I checked out the website and there are many animal and color choices for boys and girls as well as some solid color choices. I also saw that they sell a smaller sock for shoe sizes 4-6.
Mitchell was able to put the EZ SOX on without a problem. They were on the right way and I didn’t hear one complaint from him while he was working on getting them on. He actually kept them on the rest of that night and wore them the next day.
That night as we were picking out his clothes for the next day, he said, “I want to wear my frog socks.” So I’m sure as soon as they are clean again, they will be right back on his feet.
I think these socks are great for my kids and they would be wonderful to give as a gift too. The independence they give a child make EZ SOX worth the money.
