I kind of love a new product I got to try called DiaperBuds. They are individually wrapped, vacuum-packed disposable diapers for travel out of the home. Apparently they are 70% smaller than a regular diaper when they are packaged but “bloom” into a full size diaper when you open them up.
The best part of this product is the packaging. You know how it’s nice to have a spare diaper in the car, in your purse, etc. just in case. Well these diapers don’t get dirty, even if they’ve been rolling around the car or have been in the bottom of your purse for a month.
Have you ever had a sippy cup spill in the diaper bag and then be left with wet diapers. You don’t have to worry about that with this product. Part of the “sell” with this product is it makes packing for a weekend away easier because these diapers take up less space.
We went out of town a few weekends ago and as I was packing, I compared 5 regular diapers to 5 diaper buds, and I have to say, I’d rather pack a stack of regular diapers in my kid’s bag than a bunch of DiaperBuds. The stack is more neat and compact to pack in my kids’ bag than a bunch of the loose DiaperBuds. If I had rubberbanded them together however or put them in a separate bag inside the kids’ bag, it might have helped.
But for the other purposes I talked about, a DiaperBud is a great option. I listened to my husband, Scott, selling it to some family member when we were out of town. He thinks they are great too. He can put one in his coat pocket when he takes the kids to the child care area when he goes to work out just in case Camryn, who’s 21 months, needs a diaper change. No diaper bag to carry, no bulky diaper hanging out of his pocket. He actually just said yesterday, “Carrie, make sure you save me one of the DiaperBuds for my car.”
As far as quality goes, I had no problems with the DiaperBuds. I received size 3 diapers, and even thought Camryn usually wears a size 4, they fit her fine. She wore one yesterday for 3 hours without a problem, and this girl is a heavy drinker, let me tell you. Of the times that she has worn the diapers, I have never had a problem with leaking. I really recommend this product for your diaper bag, purse, car, or husband’s pocket. I really think it is a great product. I wish I would have thought of it.
Thank you to DiaperBuds for providing the products for review. No compensation was received. The opinions are mine and that of my family.

I’ll share this with my friend, who has twins who are one year old. I’m sure she’s open to any suggestions!
