Crest and Oral-B Pro-Health Clinical Plaque Control Test Drive

Recently Kora came home from school telling me about an experiment they were doing which showed them what happened to their teeth if they didn’t take care of them properly. Her teacher put one egg in a cup of vinegar (to represent plaque), one egg was in a cup of soda, and one in a cup of water.  She let the eggs sit for a day or two and then brought them back out to see how they looked after sitting in the different liquids.

The soda egg turned brown and yellow and Kora said it was so gross she’d never drink pop . The vinegar egg turned pitted and easily cracked which they learned is what happens when you don’t brush your teeth. The egg in the water stayed in great shape. Her teacher talked all about dental health and ever since Kora has done a wonderful job brushing and even flossing her teeth.

This experiment came at the perfect time because I’m excited to announce that we are part of the Crest and Oral-B Pro-Health Clinical Plaque Control Test Drive. Crest and Oral-B have developed a new line of products that provide clinical protection for a clean and healthy mouth.

Crest Oral B Pro Health ClinicalThese products include:

  • Crest Pro-Health Clinical Plaque Control Toothpaste – kills plaque germs and slows down the growth of new plaque.
  • Oral-B Pro-Health Clinical Pro-Flex Toothbrush – removes up to 93% of hard-to-reach plaque using flexing sides which individually adjust to teeth and gums to clean areas where plaque growth begins.
  • Crest Pro-Health Clinical Rinse - Crest’s most advanced rinse formula ever. Keeps teeth 91% clean of plaque for up to 2 months after visiting the dentist. It also fights and helps reverse gingivitis in as little as 2 weeks and kills 99% of germs to improve breath.
  • Oral-B Glide Pro-Health Clinical Protection Floss – when used as part of a comprehensive dental routine, it is clinically proven to reverse gingivitis in just two weeks. Provides a minty cool feeling every time it’s used. Protects against bad breath and cavities. Slides up to 50% more easily in tight spaces than the leading floss. Shred resistant.

As part of the Test Drive, we’ll be using these products for the 6-8 weeks starting mid-May. I’m excited to get started because one of my favorite parts of visiting the dentist is that clean feeling I have for a day or two after the visit. So I’m putting these products to the test to see if they can offer that “after dentist feeling” right here at home.

I’ll post again toward the end of the Test Drive to let you know how they fared and I’ll be sharing my thoughts and experiences with the Crest and Oral-B Pro-Health Clinical Plaque Control products on Twitter and Facebook.

I’m also excited to tell you about the Crest and Oral-B Pro-Health Clinical Olympic Games Sweepstakes where you can enter for a chance to win a trip to the London 2012 Olympic Games! You can also enter a weekly drawing to win the full Pro-Health Clinical product line. There’s no purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.

The sweepstakes has already started and runs through May 31st. So head over now to enter to win!

I wrote this review while participating in a test drive campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Crest and Oral-B and received product samples to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central Consulting sent me a promotional gift to thank me for taking the time to participate.

  1. What a great experiment. I think it is so important children know what can happen to our teeth if we don’t properly take care of them. The products are wonderful! I love the clean feeling I get from them.
