This weekend I had an amazing time co-hosting the Hebrew National Better-Than-A-Picnic Picnic at Victory Park in Vermilion, Ohio. Here’s a few photos showcasing the fun we had:
Vermilion is a fun, historic town and Victory Park was the perfect choice for our picnic.
We had quiet a crowd and thankfully all of our picnickers had no problem standing in line for the delicious jumbo-size Hebrew National hot dogs.
We were amazed at the amount of generous donations for the USO of Northern Ohio and the Hitchcock Center for Women.
Picnickers enjoyed making and signing 4th of July Thank You Cards for soldiers…
and decorating mini-canvases for the women’s shelter.
We were really excited to have a local radio station, WMJI, advertising the picnic across the airwaves and playing the oldies for us. They even brought along a few games of their own.
We also had a good many smiles (and some hearty laughs at times) during the day because our craft/service project table was set-up near the mechanical bull.
Kora was brave enough to give it a whirl. She thought it was fun, but our little thrill-seeker cried after getting off because she wanted to spin faster!
And we had a surprise guest! A wedding took place across the street from the park and the bridal party stopped by to have a Hebrew National Hot Dog in hopes it would tide them over before the reception! How fun is that?!
I had a blast at our picnic and am so thankful to TheMotherhood.com and Hebrew National for putting the picnic together. I really enjoyed spending a beautiful Saturday afternoon co-hosting the picnic and making some new friends.

As a mom, I’ve learned to judge a good day by if, and how quickly, Kora & Logan fall asleep on the car ride home.
I’d say it was one fun Saturday!
TheMotherhood.com and Hebrew National provided me with a stipend to co-host this picnic.

What an awesome way to spend your day….
I would have to see a chiropractor if I slept like your kids are in their car seats!
The kids zonked out at the end cracked me up! That was a busy day and looks fun!
I love that the bridal party stopped by! And what amazing weather you had for the event! That looks like it raised some great awareness and much needed items for the women’s shelter – good job!!
What an awesome picnic! I love that there were so many special and meaningful activities. Super FUN!
