Tired Dad Dave and I have on ongoing disagreement about what is the best kind of chocolate chip cookie – crunchy or soft. Chocolate chip cookies are one of his favorite things in life and he’ll gladly eat either kind, but he prefers crunchy, while I love soft. So imagine my surprise (and the size of my smile) when I introduced him to Chips Ahoy! Chewy Gooey Cookies and he loved them!
I wasn’t sure what he’d think of these new cookies because “Chewy Gooey” sounds like such a super soft cookie – which I knew I’d love but being a crunchy cookie fan, I wasn’t sure Tired Dad Dave would.
However, these cookies have special surprise in the middle – a secret layer of creamy fudge!
And to make them even better if you heat them in the microwave for just about 6-8 seconds for every 2 cookies. They come out warm and as their name says “Gooey.”
The Chips Ahoy! Chewy Gooey Cookies are a wonderful treat and currently come in Chocofudge and Megafudge flavors. We think the hidden creamy fudge layer is a delicious surprise and heating them in the microwave is an ingenious idea!
We recommend these cookies to any chocolate chip cookie lover whether you prefer crunch or soft cookies. Our guess is you’ll love these warm, gooey cookies right out of the microwave no matter what side you’re on!
