I enjoy experimenting with new software and recently had a chance to review Anime Studio Debut 8. It is a great animation program, that let’s you bring your illustrations to life.
After working with the software for a short time, I was able to create a delightful animation from one of my own illustrations.
If you look closely at the animation you will notice the subtle movements of the arms and legs on the boy and dog. Also take a look at the alien waving.
The software contains a beginners mode that limits the amount of options when you are starting out so you don’t get overwhelmed. The best thing about this program is that you can even use this program if you are not an Illustrator.
Anime Studio Debut 8 comes with a variety of features including a Character Wizard where you can slide bars to create features for a new character or use one of the preset ones:
There is also a Content Library:
You can also work with Layering Outlines:
And the Tracing Feature allows you to animate your own drawings:
I was able to quickly create my animation using their Bone-Rigging System.
