Every fall I look forward to one particular recipe that my mom makes – Acorn Squash & Sausage. It’s such a delicious seasonal recipe, filled with sweet and savory flavors that as soon as the temperature drops & the leaves start to turn, I’m can’t wait to serve it to my family. It’s also easily customized in a number of different ways to suit the tastes of each individual diner. Enjoy and Happy Fall!
Acorn Squash & Sausage
Ingredients
- 2 Acorn Squash
- 1 (10 oz) package of Hormel Little Sizzlers Sausage Patties
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
To show how this recipe can be customized I adapted it using both my mom’s classic dish and the Hormel Sausage-Stuffed Acorn Squash recipe.

This sounds so yummy!!
I love this idea!!
This looks delicious!
Acorn squash is one of my favorite foods of Fall. I love just baking it with butter, cinnamon, a touch of ground cloves. Adding the sausage to it will be even more “better”. Thanks for sharing.
