I was excited when I had the chance to review a laptop sleeve for my 13″ Macbook Pro. The Acme Made Lombard Sleeve was a perfect fit.
My previous laptop bag was enormous and heavy. It was difficult and awkward to carry. The Lombard Sleeve is the exact opposite. It is slim and lightweight. It has a removable should strap that makes it even easier to carry. The shell is padded and waterproof. These things that are very important to me since I want my laptop to be well protected.
The only thing missing from the laptop sleeve is a place to hold the power adapter. For now I just toss it in my purse and I’m ready to go. With two young children in the house, I constantly worry that no matter where I store my laptop a stray glass of juice will find it. With the Lombard Sleeve I no longer have to worry.
I also had a chance to review the 15″ Acme Made SF Sleeve. While the 15″ sleeve was too large for my 13″ Mac, it would still be a great choice for Mac users. The exterior is waterproof and stainproof. The slim sleeve provides padding for your Mac, but that doesn’t make it bulky. While it doesn’t have an option for a shoulder strap, it does allow the user to access the computer through the top or side.
